About iFillCup® single serve pods

Are iFillCup® Pods the same size as a regular k-cup from Keurig®?

Yes. The iFillCup® is made to work in all Keurig® and other K-Cup® single serve pod coffee machines.

Is it easy to fill the iFillCup® Pods?

Yes, just fill with the amount of ground coffee that suites your tastes. We provide a larger coffee chamber and stronger filter. Press the lid closed and the innovative Smart Seal (patent pending) provides an airtight and strong seal.

Do iFillCup® pods seal tight?

Yes. iFillCup® lids are designed to automatically seal in freshness when the lid is closed. Unlike other pod brands, we keep your coffee fresh so you can grind your coffee, fill your pods, and have great tasting coffee for weeks. No more buying stale, prefilled pods made many months prior to purchase. Fill with your favorite coffee to brew at work or home. Anywhere anytime.

Do iFillCup® pods allow coffee grinds to enter your cup of coffee?

No, once the lid is sealed tight, the grounds stay in the pod. Our patented filtering system keeps the grounds where they should be and not in your coffee.

What are iFillCup® pods made of?

iFillCup® pods are made with 100% BPA-Free, recyclable materials (#5 plastic). Just rinse and recycle. No need to separate or break down like other pods. Please Check Locally. Rules for recycling vary by Community.

Can each pod be used more than once?

Although iFillCup pods can be easily opened after use, they aren’t designed to be reused. The seal isn’t as effective after using and opening, and the punctured lid and cup will no longer be airtight. For best results, only use your iFillCup pods once before recycling.

How much coffee can I put into an iFillCup® pod?

The pod can hold approximately 15 grams of coffee. That is about 2 tablespoons. Your coffee beans and the grind size do make this hard to estimate. Experiment a bit with your grind and the amount to meet your tastes.

What are the little round disks in the bottom of the pod for? Toss them or use them?

The disks are part of the filtering system and should be left in the pod. They prevent grinds from entering into the coffee if the filter is punctured.

Is there a difference between the colored and blank lids?

No. All the pods are identical, but the colors are useful in identifying different blends or ingredients that you may create. We have 7 color options that we ship directly from our warehouse, as well as the plain white center.

How to use iFillCup® single serve pods

What kind of coffee is best?

The best coffee is the coffee you like the most. Experiment and have fun.

Can I use fresh roasted coffee beans?

Yes, the unique and patented design of the seal allows the fresh roasted coffee to degas while in the pod. Other brands of pods need to let the coffee be exposed to air for days to degas before it can be sealed in.

How much coffee should I use in an iFillCup® Pod?

iFill single serve pods have deeper stronger filters that hold more coffee for richer fuller flavor. Use up to about 15 grams of ground coffee. That is about 2 tablespoons. Fill them to the top if you like.

What grind level (fine to course) is best?

This is a personal choice and iFillCup® is here to get you a great cup of coffee regardless of your preferences. Our pods are unique because they can handle very fine to coarse grind.

Can I put my own label on the lid?

Adding stickers or labels can interfere with the ability of the brewer to pierce the top of the pod. We do not recommend it. Writing on the pod with a permanent marker works very well to identify what is inside. If you need custom labels for commercial pod sales, please give us a call at 1-360-574-7737 or get more information at iFillSystems.com.

Can I use tea in the iFillCup® Pods?

Yes. Just fill and close the lid with your favorite tea. Experiment with amount of tea to suit your taste.

Recycling

Can I recycle iFillCup® Pods?

Our pods are made from 100% #5, Polypropylene, which is recyclable. There is no need to separate parts.
Please Check Locally. Rules for recycling vary by Community.
